Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 9 114 S a hih al-Bukh a r i , printed in Egypt, can be acquired for two and a half rupees. His Holiness, the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, said: The compiler of al-Bukh a r i has presented powerful arguments on the death of Jesus. The meaning of َ ْك ی مُتَوَفِّ َ ْك ی مُتَوَفِّ [ mutawaff i ka ]has been written as َ ْتُك ی ِ مُم َ ْتُك ی ِ مُم [ mum i tuka , meaning, ‘I shall cause you to die’]. Then, he did not just stop there but in support of the verses concerning the death of Jesus, he presented the verse: 1 اَّمَلَف ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت اَّمَلَف ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت and recorded the hadith in which the Prophet, peace be on him, applied the verse اَّمَلَف ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت اَّمَلَف ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت to himself and showed that the meaning of ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت [ tawaffaitan i ] in it is death. 2 1. But since Thou didst cause me to die ( S u rah al-M a ’idah , 5: 118 ). [Publisher] 2. Al- H akam , vol. 11, no. 4, p. 15, dated 31 January 1907
