Opinion of the Sah ā ba ra , Ā ’immah, and Mujaddid ī n rh 235 his giving effect to the Isl ā mic law is not inconsistent with his being a prophet and a messenger. 226 Therefore, all the Muslims are waiting for a prophet to come in the Latter Days as their Messiah. The only difference is summed up in this question: Who is that person? The non-Ahmad ī s say that it is Hazrat ‘ Ī s ā as while the Ahmad ī Muslims say that he has died, according to the Qur’ ā n, and the prophecy about his coming has been fulfilled in the person of Hazrat Mirz ā Ghul ā m Ahmad Qadi ā n ī as. As it was mentioned in the beginning of this chapter, it must be remembered that the quotations that Farhan Khan has presented mostly reiterate the sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa without going into any details. The fact is that all those mujaddid ī n believed in the coming of a latter day prophet even if some of them considered him to be ‘ Ī s ā as of the Israelites. Their opinion on who that latter day prophet was going to be is merely an opinion of theirs regarding a prophecy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa that was never fulfilled in their lifetime. Instead, this prophecy was fulfilled in the year 1891 when Hazrat Mirz ā Ghul ā m Ahmad Q ā di ā n ī as claimed to be the Promised Messiah and Im ā m Mahd ī , whose advent was prophesied by the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa. To illustrate this, we use the example of Hazrat Im ā m Ibn Taymiyya rh , mujaddid of the 7 th century of Isl ā m. In the same book from which Farhan Khan quoted, that is, Book of Emaan: According to the classical works of Shaikhul Isl ā m Ibn Taymiyya , translated by Dr. Muhammad Naim Yasin, Hazrat Im ā m Ibn Taymiyya discusses the descent of Jesus as as follows on Page 122: 226 Al-Fat ā w ā Al-Had ī thiyyah, Page 129
