228 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n 11. As the quotations show, Hazrat Shah Waliull ā h, Muhaddas of Delhi rh , Reformer of the 12 th century of Isl ā m, writes in At-Tafh ī m ā t Il ā hiyyah: The sealing of prophethood with him [the Holy Prophet sa ] means that there can be no (prophet) after him who is commissioned with a new law by All ā h, the Glorious. It is clear that Hazrat Sh ā h Waliull ā h Muhaddas Dehlaw ī rh has interpreted the phrase Kh ā tam-an- Nabiyy ī n in exactly the same way as the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jam ā ‘at, that is, the Holy Prophet sa is the last law-bearing prophet. 12. Hazrat Im ā m Ja‘far as-S ā diq rh , one of the greatest scholars of the 1 st century of Isl ā m and the sixth Im ā m of the Shiites, is quoted in the book As-S ā f ī Sharah Us ū l Al- K ā f ī , Part 3, Page 119, as follows: Hazrat Ab ū Ja‘far, while discussing the Qur’ ā nic verse: ﻋَﻈِﻴْﻤًﺎ ً ﻣُّﻠْاك ْ وَاٰﺗَﻴْهنُٰﻢ َ وَاﻟْﺤِمكَْﺔ َ اﻟْـﻜِﺘٰﺐ َْ اِﺑْﺮٰﻫِمي َ اٰل ۤ اٰﺗَﻴْﻨَﺎ ْ ﻓَﻘَﺪ 224 said that God vouchsafed to the children of Abraham, messengers, prophets and Im ā ms. But what is ironic is that people believe in what God blessed the children of Abraham with and yet they deny this blessing for the progeny of Muhammad. 224 Surely, We gave the Book and Wisdom to the children of Abraham also and We also gave them a great kingdom. –S ū rah An-Nis ā ’, 4:55
