32 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n have merely made the same argument that has been made in this chapter that the superior qir ā ’ah states kh ā tam and that word means seal and this meaning applies to the inferior qir ā ’ ā t as well. In other words, the qir ā ’ ā t containing the word kh ā tim are subordinate to the qir ā ’ah containing the word kh ā tam , which means seal. This is not something new that has been proposed by the authors.
