Ò ö × $ Û ø ^ ì ø fø k » ô » ÞF ã ö Ü » ø Ã ô n» ÷ ] : Every time it (the fire of Hell) abates We shall increase for them the flame (17:98). ì ø jø ø [aor. mø í » jö ö and mø í » jô ö inf. noun ì ø j» ÷ ] and ì ö jö ç » ÷ ] ] ì ø jø ø å ü : He acted or behaved towards him with perfidy, treachery or unfaithfulness or with deceit, guile or circumvention. ì ø jø ø eô ^ Ö» Ã ø ã » ô : He was unfaithful etc. , to the covenant. ì ø jø ø l » Þø Ë » ö ä ü : His stomach became heavy; or became agitated by a tendency to vomit; became in a disordered state. ì ø j $ ^ º : One who acts or behaves with perfidy or treachery or with the foulest perfidy; one who acts or behaves with deceit, guile or circumvention or in a corrupt manner and does so much or frequently or habitually. ]ô Ö ^ $ Ò ö Ø % ì ø j $ ^ õ Ò ø Ë ö ç » õ : None but every perfidious and ungrateful person (31:33). ì ø jø Ü ø [aor. mø í » jô Ü ö inf. noun ì ø j» Ü º and ì ô jø ^ Ý º ] ì ø jø Ü ø ] Ö $ o » ð ø ]ø æ » ì ø jø Ü ø Â ø × ø n» ä ô : He sealed, stamped, impressed or imprinted the thing or he put the seal on it. ì ø jø Ü ø ] Ö $ o » ð ø : He reached the end of the thing. ì ø j» Ü º and ø f» Ä º signify the impressing of a thing with the engraving of signet and stamp. The former sometimes means the securing oneself from a thing and protecting oneself from it; in consideration of protection by means of sealing upon writings; sometimes it means the producing of an impression or effect upon a thing from another thing; in consideration of the impress produced by the signet, sometimes it is used as relating to the reaching the end of a thing. Or the primary signification of ì ø j» Ü º is the act of covering over a thing. The word also signifies the protecting of what is in a writing by means of a seal. ì ø jø Ü ø Â ø × ø n» Ô ø eø ^ eø ä ü : He sealed his door against thee i. e. he turned away from thee or avoided thee. ì ø jø Ü ø Öø Ô ø eø ^ eø ä ü : He sealed for thee his door i. e. he preferred thee to others. ì ø jø Ü ø Â ø ×F o Î ø ×» fô ä´ : He (God) sealed his heart i. e. he made his heart or mind to be such as it understood not. ì ø jø Ü ø ] Ö × # ä ö Â ø ×F o Î ö × ö ç » eô ã ô Ü » æ ø Â ø ×F o ø Û » Ã ô ã ô Ü » : Allah has set a seal on their hearts and their ears (2:8). ì ø ^ iø Ü º (Khatam) and ì ø ^ iô Ü º (Khatim) and ì ø j» Ü º (Khatmun) are almost synonymous. ì ø ^ iø Ü º (Khatam) means a signet-ring; a seal or stamp and a mark; the end or lost part or portion and result and issue of a thing. ]ô Þ $ Û ø ^ ] » ø Â » Û ø ^ Ù ö eô í ø ç ø ] iô n» Û ô ã ø ^ : 222 ì j ì j Ü
