268 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n Holy Qur’ ā n which the Muslims would not need to follow. Consider the following commandment: َ اﻟﺸـَّﻴْﻄٰﻦ ﺗَﻌْﺒُﺪُوْا َّ ﻻ ْ اَن َ اٰدَم ِْۤ ﻳٰﺒَىن ُْ اِﻟَﻴْمك ْ اَﻋْﻬَﺪ ْ اَﻟَﻢ ۚ ٌّ ﻋَﺪُو ُْ ﻟَـمك ٗ اِﻧَّﻪ ٌْ ﻣُّﺒِني ِْ اﻋْﺒُﺪُوْىن ِ ؕوَّاَن ٌْ ﻣُّﺴـْﺘَﻘِمي ٌ رصَِاط ﻫٰﺬَا Did I not enjoin on you, O ye sons of Adam, that you worship not Satan — for he is to you an open enemy – And that you worship Me? This is the right path. 264 All these verses need to be taken as they are and the ridiculous distortions of Farhan Khan should be discarded. These verses contain many commandments which the Muslims adhere to and follow, even today. The reality is that the whole of mankind is the progeny of Adam as and this includes the Muslims. Ahmad ī Muslim Argument In verse 36 of S ū rah Al-A‘r ā f, the words “ ُْ ايَْﺗِﻴَﻨَّمك اِﻣَّﺎ ” ( If there come to you ) are used by All ā h, the Exalted, and “ ُْ ايَْﺗِﻴَﻨَّمك ” is a B]ل ث`ciہ a ِ بeون a GؤDّد a ZGارع ( f‘ail mudh ā ri‘ mu’akkad bin ū n thaq ī lah ) – a grammatical structure used for present and future tenses with extra emphasis placed to point out the importance of the commandment. In other words, it means that prophets will surely come. Therefore, All ā h, the Exalted, gives the glad tidings in this verse that prophets will continue to come from among you and you should accept them. In our age, Hazrat Mirz ā Ghul ā m Ahmad as has come as a prophet, reciting many signs of All ā h unto us, and it is required from us to accept him. 264 S ū rah Y ā S ī n, 36:61-62
