With Love to Muhammad (sa) - The Khatam-un-Nabiyyin — Page 256
256 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n present it! As opposed to that, the Ahmad ī Muslims believe that a person can become righteous in this world by obeying All ā h and His Messenger sa. Once he has become righteous, he can then progress to the higher spiritual stages mentioned in the verse. As a result, we have no option but to conclude that just as people have been confounding truth with falsehood since time immemorial, the case of Farhan Khan’s book is no different. All ā h, the Exalted, forbids this in the Holy Qur’ ā n in these words: َ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْن ُْ وَاَﻧْمت َّ اﻟْﺤَـﻖ وَﺗَﻜْﺘُﻤُﻮْا ِ ابِﻟْﺒَﺎﻃِﻞ َّ اﻟْﺤَـﻖ ﺗَﻠْﺒِﺴُﻮْا َ وَﻻ And confound not truth with falsehood nor hide the truth, knowingly. 250 Farhan Khan has done exactly what has been forbidden in the above verse. This is not simply a false allegation on Farhan Khan’s book. The fact of the matter is that his book is filled with dishonesties and fallacies and these have been mentioned throughout this book. A second problem in his arguments for the topic under discussion is that he has presented a had ī th 251 related to Thawban ra andlaid the entire foundation of his argument on it but he cunningly chose not to give its reference. One wonders why? It may come as a surprise to the readers but that had ī th does not appear in any of the six authentic compilations of ah ā d ī th. This appears to be the reason why he does not provide the reference. The compilers of the six authentic books of ah ā d ī th did not find it authentic enough to include it in their 250 S ū rah Al-Baqarah, 2:43 251 Khan, With Love, Page 2
