186 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n َْ ﻃَﻴِّﺒِني ُ اﻟْﻤَﻠٰۤﯩِٕﻜَﺔ ُ ﺗَﺘَﻮَﻓّٰﯩﻬُﻢ َ ۙاذلَِّﻳْﻦ 191 ْ اَﻧْﻔُﺴِﻬِﻢ ْۤ ﻇَﺎﻟِﻤِﻰ ُ اﻟْﻤَﻠٰۤﯩِٕﻜَﺔ ُ ﺗَﺘَﻮَﻓّٰﯩﻬُﻢ َ اذلَِّﻳْﻦ 192 Thus Ibn-e-‘Abb ā s, may All ā h be pleased with him, believed that Jesus as had died. Our readers must be aware that Ibn-e-‘Abb ā s was among the foremost of those who comprehended the Holy Qur’ ā n perfectly. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of All ā h be upon him) had prayed for him that he might be bestowed true knowledge of the Holy Qur’ ā n. 193 At another place, he writes: It is for this purpose that Im ā m Bukh ā r ī (may All ā h have mercy on him), has quoted the verse: ْ ﻋَﻠَهيِْﻢ َ اﻟﺮَّﻗِﻴْﺐ َ اَﻧْﺖ َ ﻛُﻨْﺖ ِْ ﺗَﻮَﻓَّﻴْﺘَىن ﻓَﻠَﻤَّﺎ 194 in Kit ā b-ut-Tafs ī r.
