Statements of Hazrat Muhy-ud-d ī n Ibn ‘Arab ī rh 167 a ،`i`حFا a اdaFال a آخر a B a HزوFہ a وجب a ببدن a بت]c`ۃ a اFزGان آخر 164 The rafa‘a (ascent) of ‘ Ī s ā as refers to the separation of his soul from the lower world and its connection with the superior world. . . . And since it is important for his soul to return to its real place of rest, and it has not reached its actual perfection, its descent in the last days shall definitely be in a different body. 165 In this quotation, Hazrat Ibn ‘Arab ī rh says that the descent of ‘ Ī s ā as would be in a different body and he would not descend with his old body. Hence, he would have to be born as a prophet and this destroys Farhan Khan’s argument that no prophet can be born after the Holy Prophet sa. This also shows that Hazrat Ibn ‘Arab ī rh believed in the death of Hazrat ‘ Ī s ā as and that the Promised Messiah as would be someone else with qualities similar to those of Hazrat ‘ Ī s ā as. Moreover, as pointed out earlier, Farhan Khan attributes certain sayings to Hazrat Im ā m ‘Abd-ul-Wahh ā b Shi‘r ā n ī rh in his chapter without giving any reference. Perhaps he was afraid that the actual quotation might further add to his list of intellectual dishonesties, or better yet, his reference may actually agree with the Ahmadiyya Muslim point-of-view. On that note, it is worth mentioning what Hazrat Im ā m ‘Abd-ul-Wahh ā b rh wrote in relation to the topic at hand: “The statement of the Holy Prophet sa ‘there is no prophet after me 164 @ر a بن a اFدMن a Gح a اF]Gۃ a باﷲ a اF]ارف a اﻻDبر a خiXcF a اaFرM م. a اF`رآن a ت_iWر a cF[با@ۃ a اﻻHدFس. a دار a اﻻول. a اdFجcد a ب. اWFبوزiHع. a و a واXeFر a a _حۃ a بiروت، ۲۹۶ 165 Tafs ī rul Qur’ ā n Al-Kar ī m , Volume 2, Page 296
