126 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n converse, but he who is a recipient of divine revelation in abundance and hidden matters are revealed to him plentifully, is called a prophet. 120 The fact of the matter is that this was also the faith of other Awliy ā ’ All ā h [ Friends of All ā h ]. Other saints have supported this concept and one of them is ‘Abd-ul-Wah ā b Shi‘r ā n ī who says, “Let it be known that the order of prophethood has not totally ceased; it is indeed only the law-bearing prophethood which has discontinued. The statement of the Holy Prophet sa : ب]دی a ر:ول a ﻻ a و a ب]دی a Hب a ﻻ means that after him there shall be no law-bearing prophet”. 121 Al-Muslim, Al-Mu’min and As-S ā lih One question that one might still have could be: Did the Holy Prophet sa not specify the meaning of mubashir ā t in response to the question of the sah ā ba ra ? It is true that, in response to their question, “What are mubashir ā t ?”, the Holy Prophet sa replied, “True dreams” or “The dream of a Muslim” or “The dream of a mu’min ” or more clearly “The true dream which a s ā lih [righteous] man sees or it is shown to him”. The fact of the matter is that the Holy Prophet sa actually gave the ummah glad tidings in this had ī th that there shall be those in his ummah – al-muslim , al-mu’min , and as-s ā lih – who shall be the recipients of mubashir ā t [glad tidings].
