With Love to Muhammad (sa) - The Khatam-un-Nabiyyin — Page 116
116 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n 6. Pharaoh is killed during the pursuit 7. Later on, during the journey, Hazrat M ū s ā as is absent from his people for 40 nights and he appoints Hazrat H ā r ū n as as a leader for the Israelites during his absence This is the sequence of events according to the Holy Qur’ ā n. All ā h, the Exalted, did not appoint Hazrat H ā r ū n as as a prophet after that absence. Trying to obscure historical facts in order to promote one’s interpretation of the finality of prophethood is ridiculously shameful! The context should be quite clear now that when Hazrat Muhammad sa was about to leave Med ī nah and left Hazrat ‘Al ī ra in charge during his absence, he meant to say to him, “You are to me as H ā r ū n as was to M ū s ā as , except there is no prophet other than me. ” Third, let us reconsider what Farhan Khan wrote: “[Hazrat] ‘Al ī ra was exactly like [Hazrat] H ā r ū n as in that they were both guardians over their people in the absence of the “master” Prophet, except, unlike [Hazrat] H ā r ū n as who later became a Prophet, there were no prophets after Muhammad sa , so [Hazrat] ‘Al ī was not destined to become a Prophet. ” 107 Not only does this statement attempt to distort facts, it ignores the very basis of the Ahmadiyya Muslim interpretation, that is, Hazrat H ā r ū n as died during the life of Hazrat M ū s ā as ! If he had lived on after the death of Hazrat M ū s ā as , he could have been deemed a prophet after Hazrat M ū s ā as. Instead, Hazrat M ū s ā as was a prophet before and after Hazrat H ā r ū n as. This is precisely the reason given by Hazrat Sh ā h Waliull ā h Mohaddas Dehlav ī. Let us read his quotation again: 107 Khan, With Love , Page 19
