128 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n Witnesses, and the Righteous. And excellent companions are these. 122 This verse clearly states that only those who are obedient to All ā h and His Messenger can become prophets. Hence, they are the ones who are ummat ī prophets or subordinate prophets, that is, subordinate to the Holy Prophet sa. According to the verse, there are four ranks of a believer: 1. The S ā lih ū n /Righteous 2. The Shuhad ā ’ /Witnesses 3. The Sidd ī q ū n /Truthful 4. The Nabiyy ū n /Prophets As a result, one can conclude that if ru’y ā s ā liha is meant for al- muslim, al-mu’min, and as-s ā lih , then, for the higher ranks, there are kush ū f [visions] and revelations. This is evident from the experiences of thousands of saints and righteous believers of high status. Their experiences were not limited to ru’y ā s ā liha. They received powerful revelations from God! Im ā m Abul Hasan agrees with us on this concept in his commentary of Sunan Ibn M ā jah [one of the 6 most reliable ah ā d ī th collections] in these words: a اXaFف a و a BاﻻgFام a اﻻ a و a اF]dوم a ‘c@ a تبق a Fم a اgHا a اdFراد dBوجود. a F—وiFاء 123 122 S ū rah An-Nis ā ’, 4:70 123 Im ā m Ab ū Al-Hassan, Sharah Sunan Ibn M ā jah , Voluem 2, Page 448 [ a :eن a ;رح _eYG a Gاجہ a ابن اFحWن a ابو a اGام a ہ. a a جcد ۲ a. a _حہ ۴۴۸ ]
