An Important Announcement for Our Readers It is with regret that I disclose the fact that this number of N u rul- Qur’ a n has been issued in rebuttal to a person who, instead of using civilized language, has employed abusive insults against our lord and master, the Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and has falsely imputed, out of his own inherent wickedness, such outright calumnies against this Im a m- ut- T ayyib i n [Leader of the Righteous] and Sayyidul-Mu t ahhar i n [the Leader of the Pure] that a pure-hearted person would shud- der upon hearing them. It was, therefore, solely to redress such foul-mouthed people that I was compelled to respond in the same coin. I wish to make it clear to our readers that our doctrine regard- ing the Messiah, peace be upon him, is a highly virtuous belief, and we maintain the conviction with all our hearts that he was a true Prophet of God Almighty and His beloved.
