AN NO U NC E M E N T—T HE B O OK M INANU R-R A AN NO U NC E M E N T—T HE B O OK M INANU R-R A H H M M A A N N 7 I have, from my standpoint, conducted thorough investigations and—comparing thousands of Sanskrit words and hearing from the books of expert linguists of every kind, and after looking rather profoundly into the matter—I have reached this conclusion that besides the Arabic language, languages like Sanskrit etc. have no beauty whatsoever. On the contrary, the words of these languages when compared with the words of Arabic, appear lame, crippled, blind, deaf, and leprous, and, as if suffering from elephantiasis, have completely lost their natural linguistic syntax. They do not maintain within themselves a sufficient wealth of root words which is a mandatory requirement for a perfect language. Nevertheless, if we are in the wrong in the opinion of some Arya or Christian priest and if, in their opinion, these investiga- tions of mine are not authentic because I am not well versed in those languages, then first I would answer that the way I have set- tled this debate did not require me to be well versed in the syntax and semantics of Sanskrit and other such languages. I only needed the root words of Sanskrit etc. , and I have amassed quite a large collection of them and have ascertained their meanings as much as possible with help from a number of Pandits and European linguists and even listened carefully to the books written by British researchers. And I clarified these things by putting them to rigorous enquiry. Then, once again, I obtained the testimony of Sanskrit linguists etc. which proved that Vedic Sanskrit and other such languages actually lack, and are bereft and devoid of, all the excellences which the Arabic language demonstrably possesses.
