783 CHAPTER 73 A FALSE MOSES The name of Babu Il a h i Bakhsh, a Lahore accountant, has been mentioned before in connection with Ahmad’s as publication D ar u ratul Imam. He claimed to receive revelation and alleged that his revelations were against Ahmad as and his claims. Ahmad as requested him to publish his revelations and send them to Ahmad as so that God might give His decision and save men from falling into error. But Il a h i Bakhsh hesitated to do so. On April 26th, 1899, Hafiz Hamid Ali ra asked Hafiz Muhammad Y u suf in a railway train, coming from Amritsar, as to why Il a h i Bakhsh did not publish his revelations. He replied that the revelations were not published because Il a h i Bakhsh did not want to offend Ahmad as and that if he gave an undertaking in writing that he would not go to court Il a h i Bakhsh would publish his revelations. When Hamid Ali ra reached Qadian he informed Ahmad as of it, who immediately wrote out the undertaking and told Hamid Ali ra to take the writing to Muhammad Y u suf at Dhariwal.
