On February 10th, 1900, Ahmad as issued an appeal for funds to help the orphans, widows and the wounded in war. Rs. 500 were immediately collected and sent to the Chief Secretary of the Punjab Government, who sent it to Messrs King and King of Bombay. They issued a formal receipt (No. d. 1438, dated March 31st, 1900) and forwarded the donation to the Lord Mayor of London. The Lieut. Governor thanked Ahmad as for this on behalf of the Government.
