' Yet he thought it his duty to carry out his father’s wishes. Men inspired by high principles are often required to sacrifice all that they esteem and love rather than fail in their duty. None recognised more cheerfully than Ahmad as the duty of obedience and willing service. Hence, much against his own nature, he occupied himself for a considerable time in pushing on the legal proceedings that his father had started in the courts for the regaining of the ancestral estate. In obedience to his father, he had also to attend to agricultural affairs.
