THE WHITE MINARET as 776 like a pillar and there is no room on top for residence. No one lives on top. The authorities can visit the site themselves and see it. In the neighbourhood there exist already very high residential buildings. Their height is not less than that of a minaret. People are living in the upper stories of these high buildings. Of such are the following (1) H aveil i of Deputy Shankar D a s, deceased (2) H aveil i of Mirza Ni za m D i n and Imam D i n (3) H aveil i of Mirza Sultan Ahmad (4) H aveil i of Leekar Jhewar (5) H aveil i of Lahna Singh Subeidar (6) H aveil i of Sa bir Ali Shah (7) H aveil i of Muhammad Ali Shah (8) H aveil i of Nih a l Singh (9) H aveil i of Buddhei Shah Khatr i (10) H aveil i of Bishan D a s Kalia (11) H aveil i of Radh a Abrol, which contains the post office (12) H aveil i of Kansh i Shangar i (13) H aveil i of Gurbakhsh Khatr i. These are all high buildings, from the tops of which the houses of the poor people are all exposed. The people are living in them. But the Minaret will only be a kind of thin pillar. No one can live on it. There is no possibility of interference with purdah. The poor people of this village do not even observe purdah. And the well-to-do people have their own high buildings which are not lower than minarets. In the end, I have to submit that the Minaret is attached only to the mosque, and a lamp will be fitted on it to provide light for the mosque. '
