562 CHAPTER 58 GROWTH OF THE MOVEMENT Visitors to Qadian increased and the number of guests multiplied. Ahmad’s as house was no longer adequate for the purpose. It became increasingly difficult to accommodate the guests. So in September 1896 and February 1897, the construction of a well inside the house and a few rooms towards the west was undertaken. On July 134 29th, 1897, Ahmad as appealed to his followers to contribute towards the extension of the Masjid Mub a rak which had become too small for the increasing number of the faithful. Accordingly a room was built towards the north. On September 13th, 134 I give here a few names of the persons who contributed towards the fund to show how far the Movement had spread.
