Ahmad as therefore emphasised the fact that the word of God had been fulfilled and that Islam was really and truly God’s own religion and that he had been sent by God to establish its truth and thus save mankind from going astray. He brought out the full significance of the prophecy and utilised the opportunity in every possible way for the spread of truth and the establishment of righteousness in the world. He showed that it was not a stray prediction but formed an important link in his mission as a whole. He had made many other prophecies and large number of them had already been fulfilled. He also dispelled the stupid idea that he had encompassed Pt. Lekhr a m’s death through some of his followers by pointing out that a sipiritual leader can never command any respect if he has to beg his followers to save his honour by committing such crimes.
