33 CHAPTER 4 BIRTH AND CHILDHOOD The first son of Mirza Ghulam Murtaza died in his infancy and was followed by a daughter who was named Mur a d Bibi. She was a most pious woman. Then was born Mirza Ghulam Q a dir (d. 1883 at the age of 55), who was followed by one or two children, who also died in infancy. It is said that Char a gh Bibi, the wife of Mirza Ghulam Murtaza, had been long praying for a son who would live long when Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as was born, on a Friday morning, the 13th of February, 1835. 3 He was born immediately after a twin sister (Jannat), who died a few days later.
