In his leaflet, dated October 21st, 1895, Ahmad as also drew the attention of the public to the vile abuse heaped upon the name of the Holy Prophet sa by the Rev. Fate h Mas ih 110 and Rev. T. Williams of Rewari, 110 Fate h Mas ih was posted at Fatehgarh, District Gurdaspur. He wrote two letters to Qadian in which he poured rank abuse upon the Holy Founder sa of Islam. He wrote in a scurrilous manner concerning his marriages, character and the Islamic conception of paradise. In answer to him Ahmad as issued the second number of the N u rul Quran on 20-12-1895. It was priced as. 8 and coverd about eighty pages. Christians had maligned the Holy Prophet sa for a long long time by means of the press and the platform. Now in writing such foul letters they were certainly going too far. Ahmad as had repeatedly tried to stop it with reason and persuasion, but no one listened to him. So he was compelled to retort in defence and retort he did with such crushing effect that the Indian Church is still groaning and creaking under the killing weight of his reprisal. The Literary Secretary of the National Council, Y. M. C. A. , India and Ceylon, had to cry out: 'Ahmad and his editors seem to have canvassed the literature of all ages and nations, in so far as it was accessible to them, in order to ascertain and to unite in one mighty and virulent attack all the efforts that have been made to besmirch and belittle the character of Jesus of Nazareth'. In his preface to the N u rul Quran No. 2 , Ahmad as says: 'We are sorry to have to declare that this number of the N u rul Quran has been issued in answer to a man who has, instead of observing decency, used abusive language with regard to our master, the Holy Prophet sa , and on account of his own foul nature he has, through clear fabrication, heaped such slanders upon the Head of the good and the Leader of the pure that a pure-hearted person shudders to hear them. Hence we have had to retort in defence only to stop such people. 'We must make it clear to our readers that we cherish the best of beliefs with regard to the Messiah and we are convinced at heart that he was a true and beloved Prophet of God. We believe that he had, for his salvation, truly and sincerely believed in the Holy Prophet sa just as the Quran tells us. Of the hundreds of those who served the law of Moses as he was also one.
