' In spite of the fact that Ahmad as was thus busy preaching the word of God he found time to publish his work entitled Iz a la’-e-Auh a m 58 in two volumes, in the month of Zil H ij 1308 A. H. (1891 A. D. ). The book begins with a comparison of the miracles shown by Jesus as and Ahmad as. The author answers a great number of objections raised by his enemies. He compares the strong language occasionally used by him in his writings with the words of Jesus as and the Quran and discusses its necessity and justification. Then he explains the meaning of the signs and the prophecies mentioned in the scriptures relating to the second advent of the Messiah as and shows that they have all been fulfilled in him. The death and the alleged resurrection of Jesus as are fully discussed in the light of Christian and Muslim scriptures. He puts forward valuable and definite criteria with which the truth of his claim can be tested and false Messiahs can be easily identified. Towards the end of the book Ahmad as also refers to the views of Sir Sayyid Ahmad Khan, K. C. S. I. , published in the Aligarh Gazette , regarding revelation, which was, he said, just a brain wave or an idea put 58 It was the same size as Fate h Islam and Tau dih -e-Mar a m but covered about 1,000 pages. It was priced at Rs. 12/- each volume and 700 copies were pritnted at the Riy ad -e-Hind Press, Amritsar.
