He also proposed that Rajab Ali, a Christian missionary, and Pandit Shiv N a r a ’in, a Brahmu Sam a jist, be appointed as judges of the debate so that it might draw the attention of the public and make it more interesting, useful and authoritative. In publishing his paper, Ahmad as addressed the following persons also; Pandit Kharak Singh, Pandit Day a nand, B a w a N a r a ’in Singh, Munshi J i wan D a s, Munshi Kanahiya L a l, Munshi Bakht a war Singh, Editor A rya Darpan , Babu Sarda Pars a d, Munshi Sharampat of Qadian and Munshi Indarman. He also promised a prize of Rs. 500. The paper covered fourteen pages of print, and contained six arguments in support of the thesis that God is the Creator of the universe, that human souls are not co-existent with God, and that they are all created by God. Hence the theory of Transmigration cannot hold good. Pandit Kharak Singh appeared to have become thoroughly disgusted with the A rya teachings. After some time he openly accepted Christianity, and wrote several pamphlets sgainst the A rya teachings. He never confronted Ahmad as again as long as he lived, in spite of his being challenged. Is it not strange that a zealous member of the A rya Sam a j, who comes to Qadian at the invitation of the local A ryas to oppose Ahmad as and defend the Sam a j, becomes so disgusted
