KHILAFAT-E-R A SHIDAH 145 (AL-M a ‘idah, 5:21) “And remember when Moses said to his people, ‘O my people, call to mind Allah’s favour upon you when He appointed Prophets among you and made you kings, and gave you what He gave not to any other among the peoples’. ” We made them Khulaf a ’ in two ways. By virtue of they were given Khilafat of Prophethood and by virtue of they were granted the Khilafat of kingship. Therefore, the earlier Khilafats were of two types either they were Khilafat of Prophethood or Khilafat of kingship. Allah, the Almighty says to Muslims: “He will surely make them Successors in the earth as He made Successors from among those who were before them. ” It is thereby deduced that they will get the favours like those of earlier Khulaf a ’. Allah, the Almighty will treat the Muslims in the same way He treated the previous Prophets.
