240 KHILAFAT-E-R A SHIDAH “Leave the hundred, even one verse is sufficient for me. ” He said, “If not one-hundred, I’ll surely bring fifty”. The Promised Messiah as said, “I have told you that for me only one verse is sufficient. There is no question of hundred or fifty. ” He again asked, “If it is so, then I’ll surely bring ten such verses to prove the physical living of ‘ I sa as (Jesus Christ). ” He went straight to Lahore, and met Maulaw i Muhammad Husain. In the meanwhile the debate of Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra and Maulaw i Muhammad Husain Batalwi became prolonged for a period. Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra admitted under pressure that supporting A ha d i th from Bukh a r i could be presented along with the Holy Quran. Maulaw i Muhammad Husain Batalwi was very pleased with this victory, and was boasting with great zeal that he had persuaded Nuruddin ra very much, and knocked him down in such a manner that he, at last, had to admit that A ha d i th could be presented along with the Holy Quran. It was just by chance that Miy a ń Nizam D i n encountered him when he was boasting. He asked him to leave the debate aside, and said that on his visit to Qadian he had got the consent of Mirza Sahib that if he brought out ten such verses to prove the physical living of ‘ I sa as (Jesus Christ), he would abandon his belief, and he demanded to give him ten such verses hurriedly to resolve the dispute, so that he could get Mirza Sahib to believe in the physical life of ‘ I sa as (Jesus Christ) in the sky.
