10 Unity of Man The unity of man is repeatedly emphasised for instance: O ye people! fear your Lord, Who created you from a single soul and created therefrom its mate, and from them twain spread many men and women ( Ch. 4: V 2 ) And again And one of His signs is this, that He has created wives for you from among yourselves that you may find peace of mind in them, and He has put love and tenderness between you. In that, surely, are Signs for a people who reflect. ( Ch. 30: V. 22 ) The universe has been created with a purpose: And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between the two in play. If We had wished to find a pastime, We would surely have found it in what is with Us if at all We were to do such a thing. ( Ch. 21: Vs. 17 - 18 ) Again, We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the view of those who disbelieve.
