365 sphere of life, and to carry far and wide the message of Islam, with particular emphasis on its application to the present age. The missionary activities of the movement even outside Muslim countries have met with an encouraging measure of success, particularly in East and West Africa, where in several areas there is good prospect of the rapid spread of the faith in the near future. The Movement has also established missions in some countries of Europe, for instance, England, the Netherlands, the Scandinavian countries, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. In England several mosques and places of Muslim worship have been established in recent years. The best known are the Shahjahan mosque in Woking, Surrey, and the London mosque in Southfields. The London mosque was built with funds contributed by the women of the Ahmadiyya Movement, and stands as a tribute to their zeal and sincerity. The mosque at the Hague was also built with funds contributed by the women of the Movement. The Movement has built mosques and established missions in Hamburg and Frankfurt in West Germany, Zurich, Copenhagen, and Gottenburg. Small but quite active Muslim communities have already been established in all these places, and there is a scattering of European Muslims throughout the Continent.
