154 Testament records that when Jesus’ side was pierced with a spear, warm blood gushed forth, 5 whereas warm blood cannot flow from a dead body. Moreover, Hadrat Mirza Sahib as proved that Jesus had prophesied that he would come down alive from the cross. He had said: An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 6 Everyone agrees that Jonas entered the belly of the whale alive and came out alive. In just the same way, Jesus entered the tomb alive and came out alive. Since all these arguments were derived from the New Testament, the Christians could not refute them, and have not been able to do so to this day. The result was that the whole doc - trine of Jesus atoning for the sins of mankind by dying on the cross, which was drawing people towards Christianity, was debunked, and Christianity lost one of the legs it was standing on. The other leg was the doctrine of Jesus’ ascension to Heaven and being seated on the right hand of God. This, too, was bro - ken by the Promised Messiah as when he proved from the New Testament that Jesus did not ascend to heaven after the event of the cross; instead, he journeyed towards Iran, Afghanistan and India in search of the lost tribes of Israel, as he had said:
