149 Argument 4—Triumph over Other Religions The fourth argument, or the fourth category of arguments for the truth of the Promised Messiah’s claim, is that the prophecy regarding the triumph of Islam—which Allah describes in the Holy Quran as the special task of the Promised Messiah—was fulfilled through him. The Holy Quran says: 1 ْۤيِذَّلا َلَسْرَا ٗهَلْوُسَر ىٰدُهْلاِب َو ِنْيِد ِّقَحْلا ٗهَرِهْظُيِل ىَلَع ِنْيِّدلا ٖهِّلُك َوُھ He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it prevail over every other religion. It is evident from the sayings of the Holy Prophet s as that this would take place in the time of the Promised Messiah, because the van - quishing of the Dajj a l , the destruction of Gog and Magog, and the triumph over Christianity are tasks that the Holy Prophet s as assigns to the Promised Messiah. These have been described as the greatest of all threats to Islam. It was also foretold that the Dajj a l , or Christian missionaries, would succeed in dominating all other religions. Hence, overcoming Christianity would mean Islam’s triumph over all religions. The words ‘that He may make it prevail over every other reli - gion’ relate to the time of the Promised Messiah.
