344 Argument 11—Love of God and the Holy Prophet s as After mentioning some of the prophecies of the Promised Messiah as , I will proceed to the eleventh argument for the truth of his claim. The Holy Quran says: 1 َو َنْيِذَّلا اْوُدَهاَج اَنْيِف ْمُهَّنَيِدْهَنَل اَنَلُبُس١ؕ And as for those who strive in Our path—We will surely guide them in Our ways. 2 ْلُق ْنِا ْمُتْنُك َنْوُّبِحُت َهّٰللا ْيِنْوُعِبَّتاَف۠ ُمُكْبِبْحُي ُهّٰللا Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: then will Allah love you. ’ These two verses teach us that true love for God and the Holy Prophet s as will inevitably draw man closer to God and make him His beloved. Therefore, a criterion to judge the truth of the peo - ple of this ummah is that their hearts should be filled with the love of God and they should be completely obedient to the Holy Prophet s as. From this standpoint, too, the truth of the Promised Messiah as is as evident as day. I need not elaborate on the subject of love, because poets all over the world have described it through the ages, and all religions consider it to be the basis of faith and nearness to God. The most comprehensive description of love, however, is to be found in the Holy Quran:
