Statement of h a d rat Mirza [Ghulam Ahmad] sahib 1 ۰۰ ِ بِسۡم ِ الل ِّٰ الرَّحۡمٰن ِ الرَّحِیۡم 2 ِ ي ۡ عَلٰی رَسُوۡلِه ِ الۡكَرِیۡم ِّ نَحۡمَدُہ ٗ وَنُصَل Yesterday—22 May 1893—when I asked Deputy Abdullah Atham about the Divinity of the Messiah as , I mentioned nine (9) points that needed to be answered. At the very beginning, I had written that it would be compulsory and required for the parties to write their ques- tions and answers referencing their own Revealed Books. Then, together with this, it was also written that every argument— meaning, logical argument and claim in support of which that argu- ment is presented—must be done by giving a reference and statement from one’s respective Book. My purpose in this was that in this way each book would be put to the test as to whether this miraculous power is to be found in them or not. Since 1300 years have passed, for example, since the Noble Quran was revealed, and similarly almost 1900 years have elapsed since the Gospel was documented according to writings of the disciples, then 1.
