266 G— If this is indeed the teaching, please present the verse from the Holy Quran. However, those who killed with swords, verily died by swords; those who unjustly robbed the poor, were themselves robbed; as they sowed, so did they reap. On the contrary, they were treated rather leni- ently, for which much objection is raised these days as to why they were treated that way. They should all have been killed. A— The Quran gives permission to hide your faith in a state of fear. G— If this is the teaching of the Holy Quran, then why does the Quran state: 1 (S u rah at-Taubah, Ruk u ‘ 3)— َو اْوُدَهٰج ْيِف ِلْيِبَس ِهّٰللا ْمِهِلاَوْمَاِب َو ْمِهِسُفْنَا And: 2 [Pt. ] 28/9— ْمُهَّنَاَك ٌناَيْنُب ٌصْوُصْرَّم۰۰ And that: 3 [Pt. ] 22/2— َو اَل َنْوَشْخَي اًدَحَا اَّلِا َهّٰللا The fact is that there are grades of believers, as Allah the Almighty states: 4 [Pt. ] 22/16— ْمُهْنِم ٌمِلاَظ ٖهِسْفَنِّل َو ْمُهْنِم ٌدِصَتْقُّم َو ْمُهْنِم ٌۢقِباَس ِتٰرْيَخْلاِب 1. And strive in the cause of Allah with their property and their persons ( S u rah at-Taubah, 9:20). [Publisher] 2. As though they were a strong structure cemented with molten lead ( S u rah a s - S aff, 61:5). [Publisher] 3. And feared none but Allah ( S u rah al-A h z a b, 33:40). [Publisher] 4.
