50 “A poor woman came to me with her two daugh- ters. I had nothing in the house to give to her except dates. So I gave her three dates. She gave one to each girl and raised the third to her own mouth to eat. The girls asked her for it, so she broke it into two parts and gave half to one and the other half to the other. I was astonished at her sacrifice and mentioned this incident to the Holy Prophet. The Holy Prophet s as said: God will bestow paradise upon that woman on account of the consideration she had shown towards her daughters. ”’ From the Holy Quran ( S u rah Al-Anbiy a ’, 21: 108 ) َو ۤاَم َكٰنْلَسْرَا اَّلِا ًةَمْحَر َنْيِمَلٰعْلِّل—۰۰ َو ۤاَم َكٰنْلَسْرَا اَّلِا ًةَمْحَر َنْيِمَلٰعْلِّل—۰۰ Translation: And We have sent you [O Muhammad] not but as a mercy for all peoples.
