Hazrat Musleh Maudra [Second Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community] has spoken about this topic on various occasions, but on one particular occasion, he spoke on this subject under the following title: “The Holy Prophet s as and World Peace. ” Whilst deriving benefit from this discourse of Hazrat Musleh Maudra, I shall mention a few points. We see and understand that peace is of great importance. Everyone talks about peace and say it is of great value. It is this state of peace which can ensure peace and harmony at both a domestic and international level. People desire for peace to be established at every level, however a desire alone cannot bring about peace, because even in these instances, their desire for peace is rooted in selfish reasons. This is exactly what we are seeing in the world. If people did not have any selfish desire, the very possibility of wars would be eliminated.
