He was commanded to convey Allah's Message 49. 50 270 يَأَيُّهَا الرَّسُوْلُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ ، وَ اِنْ لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَه ya ayyu harrasūlu balligh mã unzila ilaika mirrabik wa illam taf al famā ballaghta risalatah. O Messenger! convey to the people what has been revealed to you from your Lord; and if you do it not, you have not conveyed His Message at all. (5:68).
