18 Devotion to the Holy Prophet ra was extremely devoted to the Holy Prophet saw and was always ready to sacrifice her life for him. The Holy Prophet saw was also very affectionate with her. Once when the Holy Prophet saw was visiting her, ra offered him food. The Holy Prophet saw asked her to join him. She said, “Messenger of Allah! I am fasting. ” The Holy Prophet said saw, “Angels send Durood on those who fast if a person eats in front of them. ” Then, he saw ate in front of ra. After the demise of the Holy Prophet saw, Hazrat Abu Bakr ra also used to visit her and inquire after her. 15 Demise of ra There are not many narratives about ’s ra death, but through different historical references it can be deter- mined that she was alive till the time of Hazrat Umar ra and passed away during his Caliphate. 16 15.
