I repeat that if one even of angelic disposition should object to my Khilafat , his gentle nature would persuade him to submit to Adam as , but if he is an Ibl i s he will depart from this exalted company. David as was another Khal i fa , as is said: David, We have made thee a vicegerent in the earth (38:27). He too was made a Khal i fa by God. His opponents were anarchists, some of whom penetrated into his citadel, but who could succeed in opposition to one whom God had made a Khal i fa ? Then God Almighty made Ab u Bakr ra and ‘Umar ra Khal i fas , may Allah be pleased with both of them. The R a fa di s are still mourning over their Khilafat. But see you not that millions call down blessings on Ab u Bakr ra and ‘Umar ra. I call God to witness that I too have been made Khal i fa by God. This mosque has pleased my heart. I have supplicated earnestly on behalf of those who have in any way contributed towards its construction, and I am sure that my supplications have reached the Throne. Having arrived in this city and standing in this mosque which has pleased me so much, I declare that as God Almighty made Adam as , David as , Ab u Bakr ra and ‘Umar ra Khal i fas , in the same way it is He Who made me Khal i fa. Should any one say that the Anjuman has made me Khal i fa , he would utter a lie. Such ideas lead to ruin, be on your guard against them. Listen with attention once more, no man or Anjuman has made me Khal i fa , nor do I consider any Anjuman competent to make any one a Khal i fa. No Anjuman has made me
