I seek forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, for all my defaults, and turn to Him in repentance (repeated three times). " 58 When all present had taken the pledge, the Khalifatul Masih ra led the funeral prayers for the Promised Messiah as , and thereafter led the afternoon Prayer service. Then everyone filed past the bier and had a last look at the beloved features of their Holy departed. The burial was completed by 6 p. m. To Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. The very next day Khaw a ja Kam a l-ud-D i n, member and secretary of S adr Anjuman Ahmadiyya published the following statement: "Before the funeral prayer for the Promised Messiah sa all members of the community who were present in Qadian and whose number was twelve hundred, accepted Hadrat Haji H ak i m N u r-ud-D i n ra , may Allah keep him, as his Successor and Khal i fa , according to the directions set out in Al- Wa si yyat and in conformity with the recommendation of the members of the S adr Anjuman Ahmadiyya then in Qadian and the relatives of the Promised Messiah as , and with the permission of Hadrat Ummul Mu’min i n; and took the pledge of allegiance to him.
