" Hadrat Mehr Appa fondly reminisce d that after moving to Rabwah there was only a wall between her and Hadrat Amman Jan's ra house. Again , it is a tribute to Hadrat Amman Jan ra that Hadrat Mehr Appa affect ionately remember ed her life as a daughter - in - law and neighbour of Hadrat Amman Jan ra. She relate d that her mother - in - law would often call on her, sometimes proffering some advice on a dinner she was to host. Often , she would invite Hadrat Mehr Appa to her house to read to her. Hadrat Mehr Appa praise d Hadrat Amman Jan ra for never complaining if her daughters - in - law were too busy to visit her for a few days, even to say “Salam”. Hadrat Amman Jan ra did not interfere with the personal routines of her daughters - in - law within their own households. The only direct advice she gave them was to the effect that they should , "Dress well, live well, and as well as yourselves look after the creations of Allah Almighty… the commands of Allah Almighty, and the institution of the Jama ’ at should be respected. ” These fundamental principles she gave in a very kind manner. Hadrat Mehr Appa also poignantly remember ed a time when Hadrat Amman Jan ra unexpectedly came to her house. Hadrat Mehr Appa came out of her room. Her mother - in - law embraced her emotionally in front of two other relatives and expressed how Hadrat Mehr Appa had been a great source of comfort to her during a sad time, at the death of another daughter - in - law , Hadrat Sayyedah Maryam Begum 49.
