foundations are strong. Hudur advised that this would not be possible unless our moral qualities match the standard of those of the Holy Prophet of Islam sa. Hudur said that the Promised Messiah as had been successful in reintroducing these moral values , revealed 1400 years ago. Hudur also elaborated some basic moral qualitie s that we should try to inculcate in our characters; they being truthfulness, gentle and pious speech, fortitude, sympathy, resolve and courage. Addressing the auxiliary organisations of the Jama ’ at, Hudur directed that they try to instil these moral qualities in their members, to benefit not only this generation but the future of mankind. What is remarkable about this list of qualities is that they were all fundamental traits of Hadrat Amman Jan's ra character. Indeed, they were als o the qualities that she tried to instil in both her biological and spiritual children. From Hadrat Khalifatul Masih IV ’ s rh speech it appears that he was deeply influenced by the moral training he saw and received from his grandmother, Hadrat Amman Jan ra. Below are some incidents which illustrate how Hadrat Amman Jan ra continuously strived to instil these qualities in others, by both her personal example and advice. The strong emphasis Hadrat Amman Jan ra placed upon truthfulness has already been mentione d. She always stated that her children spoke the truth. Consequently, her children have related that they never dared do otherwise. All of them felt it was too shameful to even contemplate lying.
