He would spend thousands and thousands of rupees to collect all books on Islam, whether in Arabic, in Persian or in Urdu. In addition to the books that he acquired from various Indian cities, he bought books from Arabia, Egypt, Tunis, Morocco, Turkey, Holland and Germany. He would not hesitate to spend any amount in order to get a book
