The Gulf Crisis & The New World Order inhabited the area that is currently known as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, were used as the instruments of destruction against the government of Turkey. Now, once again the same kind of circumstances have come to prevail. Once again a great Muslim state is facing a very great threat which has materialized with the help of Saudi Arabia and adjoining Muslim states. As far as I can see, these Western nations have decided to administer such a horrible punishment to Iraq this time that it may be impossible for any Muslim country, for decades, to dream even of standing up against them or to shake off their yoke. The state of Israel is the prime-mover of this plan; because Israel, for some time now has been clamouring that it faces the threat of a chemical attack from Iraq, which would obliterate the tiny state of Israel. ATTACK ON ISLAM Without getting into the detail as to whether the threat was real or fictitious, it is in fact an attack on Islam. Who was responsible for it? At least this much is clear that Israel and its interests provide the greatest motivation behind the present array of events. At present the entire Muslim world has arrayed itself as if it stands ready to defend the interests of Israel, and has decided to aid in the destruction of a Muslim country which, though it did indulge in some ventures that are un-lslamic, does not deserve to be obliterated for that. Injustice is prevalent in many places around the world; it is present to a far greater extent in many other places in the world. No Super Power does as much as move its little-finger in protest of that. So, whatever they are doing now, it can be for the sake of anything, but justice. There are many deep-seated enmities behind it; some plans of revenge are pending. This tightening of the noose around a Muslim country, which has itself not exhibited any Islamic morality, is not just an attack on this individual Muslim country - it is in fact an attack on Islam! These animosities are very profound and historical in origin; and these recent decisions have been taken at the highest level to contain the rising force of Iraq in the region which, they thought, might consolidate its influence over the neighbouring Middle Eastern states, to present a unified Islamic-front in the region, with a sizeable portion of world's oil-resources providing an economic backbone to 51
