So they rapidly boosted Iraq's defensive capability to the level of an offensive one. These days, the West is carrying out a propaganda campaign against Saddam Hussein that he is such a tyrant and such an insensitive person that he has no hesitation in using poisonous nerve gases against his adversaries, which cause blisters and suffocation and that it is therefore necessary to free the world from this tyrant. Until recently, these very nations were helping Iraq in acquiring the capability of producing these lethal gases!! It was all in their knowledge, and chemical plants were being established before their very eyes and it was they who gave Iraq the technical know-how. They did all that because, at that time, they were faced with a bigger enemy, i. e. Iran. For these nations to say today that they did not know about it and that Iraq did all these things secretly, o n its own, is an utter lie. When the chemical plants that manufacture nerve gas were started in Libya, they bombed that country and declared to the world that they would never allow these plants be established at any cost because they would pose a threat to the world peace. They presented details of these plants which were later found to be precisely correct to an amazing degree. They said that if Libya continues to claim that it was not making any chemical weapons and was rather manufacturing fertilizers or some other chemicals, w e could reveal the photographs of the interior of these plants. They laid before the world the very detailed plans of chemical weapon production by Libya. They were indeed aware of every minute detail!. 62
