Second Frid «y Senno11 Aug 17, 1990 A DEEP CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE WORLD OF ISLAM This situation is becoming increasingly grim, and it is the height of foolishness to think that such massive efforts are under way only for ensuring Saudi security. It is really naive if someone thinks that all these upheavals that are taking place in the world, these naval blockades from all directions, and the most lethal fighter-planes - which have so far never been used in any part of the world - being sent to the already amassed most modem arsenal, a ll this is a mere attempt to fortify Saudi Arabia against Iraq! My apprehension is that Iraq will be subjected to horrific revenge and it may be blown to bits. The fire of their revenge will not quench until they annihilate this up-and-coming Muslim country which is an exceptional force in this region. These ill-intentions were first conceived in Israel. I am convinced as a result of various Israeli statements that they were the harbinger of the current state of affairs. God alone knows how Iraq was lured into occupying Kuwait and then the whole sinister development ensued. But such incidents are seldom accidental. There are some underlying motives and some subterranean intrigues at work. There are the CIA agents and then there are indigenous traitors who meticulously perform the cryptic and surreptitious assignments designed to fulfil the wishes of Super Powers. Such activities are mentioned in the Chapter Al-Naas of the Holy Quran where these forces are referred to as Khannaas i. e. , those forces which sow the seed of mischief and then secretively withdraw from the scene, leaving others to ponder as lo how and why it all started. If a blunder was committed then where does the responsibility lie? In reality there are great forces behind these happenings. So, from this angle, the current state of affairs has taken a very ominous tum. A SURVEY OF THE WORLD OF ISLAM IN ITS HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE If you put the Muslim world in its historical perspective, you would realize that no Islamic power could ever be damaged without securing the participation of some Muslim countries. The entire Islamic history bears witness to the fact that whenever the Western powers have succeeded in suppressing an emerging Muslim power, or otherwise crushed it with the help of some overt or covert military action, the 48
