The Gulf Crisis & The New World Order the Arab armies at the same time and still destroy them and the chief of staff has even claimed that he could defeat the armed forces of the Soviet Union" Thus in destroying an imaginary Hitler in Saddam, the Americans and their allies are in fact fostering the slate of Israel which has assumed the posture of a real Hitler. How ignorant and devoid of inner vision is the West? Does it not realize that it was Israel which in the first place called Saddam and the Palestinians as Hitler? By raising the Hitler-bogey, the West is patronizing a "Hitler" and if they do not realize, the future will reveal what Israel's motives are and how Israel will treat the United States and the West. WHAT IS HAPPENING & WHY IT IS HAPPENING Against this background, the Muslims note that Israel is inflicting on them one cruelty after the other and that it is being backed and supported by the West. They are astounded, unable to comprehend all that which is happening to them. Israel repeatedly speaks of Muslim "terrorism". One is sick of reading that Muslims are "terrorists" and Palestinians are "terrorists". Israel and the Western media paint Islam as if it is synonymous with terrorism and equate a Muslim with a terrorist. In fact, it was Israel which first initiated and practised terrorism. Now I will mention briefly the barbaric and dreadful acts of terrorism perpetuated by Israel. The ruined Muslim cities of Der Yasin, Jaffa, Kabia, West Beirut, Sabra and Shatila all bear testimony to this terrorism. These cities were devastated and the inhabitants, men, women and children were indiscriminately and mercilessly slaughtered in cold blood in broad daylight. Most mercilessly, their bodies were pierced through by lances and then other cruel methods were used to inflict death, which resulted in wiping off the entire population in those areas. Hundreds, if not thousands of villages are in ruins - not a single structure was spared. In 1977, just in one raid, 250,000 Palestinians were rendered homeless. The West is aware of all this but it has remained mute and preferred to look the other way. Muslims, whether Arabs or non-Arabs, are astounded at to what is happening. On the one hand, one atrocity after another is being committed in the name of justice but no one has the courage to caution Israel that the atrocities it 259
