On the other hand, Israel believes it is to its advantage to incur the hostility of the entire Asiatic world if such sacrifice is necessary to have the unreserved backing of a Western Super Power. Thus the United States and the Western allies think that they need Israel in the same way as Israel thinks it needs the West. Why is this game being played? And to what lengths will it go? On this point I shall address you later. As regards the oil interests, the West has failed to make a deep study of the inherent nature of Israel. Temperamentally, Israel is such that being so near the oil fields, it will not refrain, in the course of time, from attacking and acquiring the oil fields. Making Israel the protector of the oil is like the Punjabi anecdote of expecting a cat to guard a bowl of milk or a goat to protect grain. The interests which Israel is supposed to safeguard stand in the greatest danger from Israel itself. If the world does not take notice of this fact now, the consequences will be the same as I have hinted. But I shall talk at length about it a little later. It is the atrocities committed by the West which gave birth to "Nassers and Saddams". Saddam was born as a result of the excesses committed by the West on Muslim countries, specially in Egypt to eliminate Nasser. That action created hatred, and hate always begets hate. A sour tree never bears sweet fruit. So long as excesses are committed a gainst the Arabs and so long as they are not redressed with justice and 256
