/11 the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful FOURTEENTH FRIDAY SERMON FEBRUARY 22. 1991 OPTIMlSM OF THE UNITED STATES AND ITS ALLIES After reciting the Opening Chapter of the Holy Quran, Al-Fatiha, Hazoor said: 1n my previous sermon I had said that /11sha Allah God willing, I would give certain suggestions to the world from different aspects. I will begin this by advising the U. S. that it should attempt to perceive itself through the eyes of others. 1n the euphoric atmosphere generated by the lofty praises heaped on President Bush, be psychologically seems to have been blinded as to what is being thought of his policies by others and what image he presents to the outside world. THE WRONG THINKING OF THE U. S. AND ITS ALLIES President Bush is c onvinced that the whole world is following his lead like a pack of hunting dogs following the heel of a bunter. This act, in the hunter's terminology, is called "to heel". He thinks be has brought England to heel along with other allies. Such nations may feel that after the bunt is over they would be rewarded with some of the left-over scraps. This is the aim of President Bush in crushing Iraq and the Muslim world under the pretence of liberating Kuwait. From another angle it would be more accurate to say that Israel, and not President Bush brought the world to heel, and that the United States itself has joined the pack, at the heel of the hunter. This gives a more accurate picture and the world views the recent events in this perspective. Things look different when viewed from a different angle. So the U. S. bas its angle of view, but there is another angle of view as well, which I will illustrate by presenting you with a few examples.
