As we enter into the blessed month of Ramm. an, when we would have special opportunity for prayer, I would urge you to dedicate the prayers in this month for the protection and defence of the Muslims, the defence of Islam and indeed for the defence of humanity. We should thus pray: "O Allah, despite our utmost efforts we cannot match the enormous forces which You have created as foretold by the most truthful Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad•u, fourteen hundred years ago. While we are weak, empty-handed, and powerless, our adversaries have been granted extra-ordinary material grandeur rendering us totally impotent before them. So we turn to Thee, seek Thy shelter and beseech Thee to accept the prayers of the Promised Messiah u and his humble followers by fulfilling the second part of the prophecy. The mighty worldly powers are possessed with such enormous wealth that comparatively, we are not even worth a penny. Because of their huge accumulation of wealth, they continue to barter the faith of humanity. Save humanity from the evil consequences of their material wealth. The_y have stockpiled mounts of destructive and lethal weapons. Their own scientists admit that the atomic arsenal of the U. S. A. and Soviet Union are so dreadful in their power of destruction that they are capable of destroying this world, scores of times. They are not only capable of destroying all human life but can also extinguish all traces of life on this planet. " Visualising this situation, we should pray, imploring God that: "Wbereas You, in Your own wisdom has granted such enormous wealth to these wretched nations that even the combined wealth of all Muslim nations is of little significance not to mention the meagre resources of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Their weapons possess such destructive capacity that even a fraction would wipe out the traces of nations from the surface of the earth. 0 Allah, to counter such powers You have raised this humble Community which possess nothing.
