Your politicians very proudly declare in front of the whole nation that the U. S. has agreed to grant us so much aid. And the aid which the U. S. has refused to approve has been granted to us by Saudi Arabia! If a medicant's blood is coursing through your veins, how will you walk with di gn ity with you head held high in the comity of nations? You are in the habit of living in a world of poetry. " Singers chant this verse on the Radio and T. V. most melodiously while the Muslims laud it by the rhythmical nodding of their heads and exclaiming that surely death is better than such sustenance. But in actual practice, they prefer and readily accept such sustenance - yes that sustenance which binds them in shackles and slavery. What to say about the restriction of flight into the skies, now a leap for every grain, even below the net, is termed the ultimate flight of this bird. No better politician could there be today, than one who would go to the U. S. with his beggar's bowl and return with alms, go to China and Russia and return with charity. This is, what is now considered the yardstick of successful politics. This is the politics of wanton shamelessness! Iqbal, the poet, was not wrong when he said that death is better than such sustenance that binds your hands and feet. By accepting such sustenance, you were disgraced. You betrayed the nations who accepted you as their leaders and you 299
